Wondering Tales
2023. 3. 31. fri – 8. 6. sun
Shall we wonder about the stories entailed in artworks?
Contemporary art is like a vast and wide ocean.
As numerous creatures live in the sea, contemporary art is full of exciting and interesting tales.
A voyage in search of treasurable tales,
the 2023 exhibition of Suwon Art Space Gwanggyo Wondering Tales is an interactive exhibition
where the visitors can experience the artworks and meanings of contemporary art upclose.
The exhibition holds the theme ‘wondering on the tales hidden in artworks’.
The exhibition title can be related to a ‘ship’ wandering through the sea of hidden stories entailed in artworks,
‘lines’ which are the basic elements of artworks, and the ‘gaze’ needed to admire artworks.
YISLOW, Anna Han, Lee, JungYoon and Shawn Park are the participating artists for this exhibition.
The artists are navigating the sea of artworks with creative perspectives, sharing different experiences and emotions with each other.
Artworks contain the thoughts and feelings of an artist, and through them you are able to view the world with a whole new viewpoint.
Inspirations and emotions that arise when looking at an artwork will converge into ‘wondering tales’,
and at the end of that voyage new treasurable stories can be discovered.
Wondering Tales will be a chance to experience the creative perspectives and aesthetics of contemporary art.
Gather the inspirations and imaginations that arise when viewing the artworks, and create your own tale.
Moreover encounter a chestful of treasurable stories.
