Space for Artists and the Public to Communicate through Art, and Become One through Culture

Suwon Art Center was originally designed and built in 1999 as a “Recycle Exhibition Center,” with a strong visual resemblance to Suwon’s Hwaseong Fortress. Afterwards, to promote culture and art in Suwon, the building was reborn as “Suwon Art Center,” a cultural and art space that is accessible to all visitors.
Located in Manseok Park, Songjuk-dong, Jangan-gu, close to downtown Suwon, Suwon Art Center boasts majestic surroundings, with a lush green park and a beautiful lake serving as a rest area. Suwon Art Center has an exquisite view of Gwanggyosan (Mountain) which harmonizes with the natural environment. In addition, there are a number of sports facilities and amenities, including a children’s library, indoor badminton courts, a soccer field, trails and a parking lot, in the vicinity of Suwon Art Center.
